There are a couple of situations

where players might wait up to 30 days or longer to claim their prizes:

  • Atlantic Lottery decides it needs a little extra time to validate the win. This would happen, for example, if a player presented a damaged ticket.
  • The player is considered to be Related Party (Atlantic Lottery employees, retailers and their employees, suppliers and family members or lodgers of all those people).

We take extra time to validate these wins. We’ll ask questions, check facts, and cross-check against different sources. We verify information about the player and the winning ticket. At the end of the day, we do this to be sure that every prize is awarded to its rightful owner. We do that for the protection of everyone.
